New Jersey Pick 3 offers a variety of prizes, including the chance to win up to $2,500. The amount you can win depends on which type of bet you play, and how much you wager.
To get the game’s top prize, you need to wager the maximum $5 and play a Straight, where you are required to match all three numbers in exact order. Alternatively, you can play in other ways, which offer better odds, or reduce your bet amount to $0.50 or $1.

You can also bet $2, $3, $4 or $5 per play, with the payouts increasing proportionally. All the prize amounts are fixed, so you are guaranteed to receive the full amount regardless of how many winners there are in a draw.
To ensure that all winners can be paid out, the New Jersey Lottery instead sets a limit, known as a prize liability. This allows the lottery to suspend sales for particular numbers, with no further wagers permitted for that three-digit combination until the next drawing. This limit can be modified from time to time at the discretion of the lottery.
You can claim prizes of up to $599.99 from New Jersey Lottery retailers. It is only for larger amounts that you must file a claim form. You can also claim prizes of any value by mail.
